Children's Eyecare
Does my child need an eye examination?
It is recommended that all children have a full eye examination before starting school and at twelve month intervals thereafter. It is common for children of this age to have visual problems such as squints, lazy eyes, long sightedness or short sightedness. If these conditions remain undetected beyond this critical period, it may no longer be possible to treat them effectively. However, close monitoring of these problems enables treatment with simple eye exercises or spectacles.
